All I wanted was to claim the extra I paid to change my flight and come back home early as my sister passed away the day I arrived. I was informed that because she did not reside in Australia I could not make a claim. I could have saved myself the cost of the insurance.

We purchased travel insurance, however while traveling our transport broke down causing us to have to return home after a week and a half of of our five and a half week planned holiday, which was paid in full. None of this was our fault and we were unable to recoup anything of our prepaid accommodations and had to purchase airfare extensions. We paid a premium for the insurance due to some existing medical condition which were not a issue in this matter.We were contacted by the insurer after we submitted the claim and informed that the transport issue was not covered.This travel insurance is misrepresented and basically only covers medical issues

We have used Insure and Go on about 5 trips.We have always found them competitive especially with the promotions discounts.They have always covered us for existing conditions.
In one instance we had to cancel our trip and claim. They assisted us with the claim and refunded within about 3 weeks.

* the only "negative" with my claim experience, was that had to resend/email the same information several times

I have not made a claim (& hope I won’t need to) but I have found their prices and cover and longer length of trip option for Annual multi-trip to be much better than others apart from the maximum of 15 day car hire component.

I have used Insureandgo on two previous occasions and unfortunately on both occasions I have had to make a claim once due to my husbands death and the second time due to travelling partners illness
Both times claims were processed without any problems
I am presently insured again for a trip next February so I hope all goes well this time

Unfortunately I did have to make separate hospital emergency, and loss claims, during a trip to Vancouver. Service on both claims was professional and prompt, and will not hesitate to use InsureandGo for future travel insurance and peace of mind.

first time I made a claim in 4 years if using Insure and Go as I lost my sunglasses and it took 3 weeks for them to come back and say there weren’t covered.

I had to cancel my trip due to an illness that needs surgery. Months after taking out travel insurance I became very ill and had to cancel my trip. I got a letter from the doctor that said that my symptoms started well after the date of my policy started and that I am too unwell to travel and need to have surgery. I provided the letter along with all of my cancellation documents and receipts to prove payments. My claim is only $2300 and they are drawing out the process for no reason! They have now asked for my medical records for the past 5 years as if they don’t trust my doctor’s letter or me!! And to make matters worse, they have even prolonged the time it takes to investigate my medical records by not even paying the invoice to receive the report. I’m stressed enough being sick and not being able to go on a holiday that I had planned 12 months ago let alone having to deal with this! It’s been 6 weeks and I’m still waiting, not 10 days like they had indicated it would be dealt within!

I wondered if I was doing the right thing when I picked Tick based purely on its low price. I'm glad i did because I had an accident in a hire car in Honolulu. I spoke with Tick, sent them all the documents they sought and within weeks was advised my claim had been approved and the full amount has been put into my bank account. Very friendly, helpful and efficient service. I'll be using them on my next trip in a couple of months.
