I purchased a policy with this company and I made a mistake and purchased the medical policy as I was rushed at the check in to purchase insurance, once I realised it was not fully comprehensive, I tried to call but there are no landlines or online help, so I had to email them, waiting for a response which wasn’t done until hours later… I repurchased a new fully comp and got refunded the old one. Unfortunately to me my flight got cancelled and I left the next day instead losing out on a booked boat trip $235 , and I also had my phone stolen from my pocket on new years eve 12noon whilst hugging my partner happy new year with my money and phone and ids, also my brand new guess suitcase came back with a broken wheel, when making a claim they took 14days to get back to me, and declined my claims, even though I said I do not care about the cancellation of flight the hotel stay and food and drinks and lost day of the holiday as the airline covered most of that, all I wanted was the boat trip and phone, money and ids and broken wheel on luggage covered. All proof of everything required was provided. They then said I need to pay excess 200 on each claim one for the boat, one for the phone, one for the suitcase wheel etc this is a total scam. Then said that the policy does not cover depreciation or phones. I have never made a claim
In my life, and the first time I did I felt betrayed, I don’t understand why we buy insurance if they never want to cover you. Is t the point of having insurance is to make you feel at ease if anything goes wrong?? It’s very sad and misleading. I will never be dealing with this company again. Even though it was cheap for cover, it is cheap for a reason! Not a reliable insurance company! Stay AWAY!!!

After an unfortunate accident in the USA my immediate thoughts were towards my insurance cover. From the very first emergency call from the USA, notification to Zooms consultants and all the way through the claims process, I have nothing but praise for their ethics, their professional understanding and settlement. A special mention to Daniel - Zooms Travel Consultant. Daniel kept me completely informed via email every step of the way and for that I thank him sincerely. I would recommend and have done so already to my travelling friends Zoom for their travel insurance requirements. I have no hesitation in putting my name to this review and wish fellow travellers a safe and pleasant time in their travels whether that be in Australia or worldwide.

As we all know, travel insurance is an absolute necessity. None of us ever expect to have to make a claim on our policy and for many, many years, we never had to. Then, "whammo", six weeks out from departure date, a cancer diagnosis! This required urgent surgery which forced cancellation of our travel plans. We're talking flights, both domestic and international and a 52 night cruise. To be honest, we cynically thought we would be in for the fight of our lives with our claim - after all we are dealing with insurance, right. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Zoom were with us all the way. Granted, there was a fair bit of "paperwork" required, but once Zoom had everything they required, our claim was approved and "sorted". Zoom have been absolutely fantastic and we can't speak highly enough about the staff who handled our claim. We are forever grateful that we chose Zoom for our travel insurance needs and will never consider anyone else but Zoom in the future. Heartfelt thanks.

The claims process was very easy to complete and the communication from the company was excellent. This is the first time I have used this company but will certainly use them again in the future. Is nice to know you can travel with knowledge that you are well looked after.

The process of making a claim was very efficient. Zoom responded quickly to all our queries. We are really grateful for the anxiety free process compared with another travel insurance company that failed us completely. We will definitely Zoom again. Thank you.

Chris was amazing at following up & being patient with me with my claim during Covid. Chris was very thorough and made sure I was always informed of what was happening. Would highly recommend zoom and use again because of his service and support

We took out a 1 year frequent traveler policy for 2020. International travel was banned from Australia in March 2020, 2 days ago I contacted ZOOM about this and ZOOM gave us a $498 credit, pro-rata for the unused portion of our policy, much better than we got from Princess Cruises, Thank you ZOOM

We were booked on the Ghan to travel from Darwin to Adelaide in November 2020. Train was unable to get to Darwin for us to board as the NT government closed its border from South Australia when COVID-19 raised it ugly head there. Train was refused entry into NT. Had to book additional flights to get back to Sydney. $730. Tried to claim but refused as policy doesn't cover expenses incurred due to a pandemic. The way I see it is we were able to still travel from NT into South Australia and from there to Sydney so it was the fact that the train never arrived for us to board was the actual cause. As a typical insurer Zoom has stuck to their policy wording and I'm out of pocket due to a useless insurance product. My advice, Read the PDS very carefully during these uncertain times or you may find yourself out of pocket just like me!

Travel plans upset due to death of my husband.
Zoom couldn't have made lodging a claim on line easier and the matter was resolved in a timely manner despite the pressure they are currently under.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Zoom again and would recommend it to anyone looking for competitively priced travel insurance.

Never done online anything before it was quick but I guess informal , it was a sentimental item that cannot be replaced and I still hold out it will be found and handed in to Police.
The process was easy to understand even for a computer illiterate like myself, I am satisfied.

Used twice. Because of coronavirus our trip has been cancelled. We have been given a credit voucher which covers us up to 2 1/2 years to complete next trip. A very good customer service experience. Thankyou Zoom!

We had a trip cancelled due to covid19 . So I Emailed Zoom to see if we could maybe put a hold on our policy. The customer service we received by Harriet was exceptional !! received a credit voucher without any issues for future use when travel overseas is back on. Would recommend this company. D & H
