I foudn it very easy to set up my travel insurance policy. I did have to make a claim for a doctor's consultation while travelling and for medication. I paid out of pocket and made my claim when I got home. I found the claims process easy enough to follow and my claim was processed in about four days.

Haven't been on trip yet, so can't give a review on any claims that I may have - hopefully I won't need to write a post review!

Although I haven't had to claim anything the process of quoting was easy and the website was simple to use. I got quotes from many other providers and they were bar far the most reasonable and had the easiest process. Highly recommend!

Great policy at a great price. Highly recommend if you're going overseas to ski, it covers medical costs incurred off piste and on the mountain

It's very easy to apply online no hassles and the amount is affordable specially for old people like my mother.

My claims experience was very poor, no communication from claims officers, I had to follow up on many occasions only to find that my claims had been filed in another claim and consequently not reviewed. Staff were very apologetic however did the same again the next time I needed to submit a claim. They had 10 business days to respond however didn't not request any questions or further documentation until the 10 days were up... Not once but twice, I was rang ah on the 10th business day requesting further info. AH on a Friday was too late for me to respond and when I did I was told I will get an outcome in another 10 days. I'm still waiting on an outcome of a claim which has now been with the claims officer nearly 5 weeks. I understand the request for more information delays outcome but no communication and misfiring of claims documents is just poor customer service.

Online application is slick - the fastest in the business. They are extremely friendly and sympathetic to the mature aged traveller.

Customer service was fine, until I had to make a claim, which is the only reason I gave them a 3. Based on recent events, it should have been a 1. You need to be aware that although this review is on Medibank, when it comes to their travel insurance you do not actually deal with Medibank. It is in fact, Great Lakes Australia and the claims process is managed by Travel Insurance Partners not Medibank. This same arrangement applies to many other travel insurance suppliers so simply changing your insurer may not change the people you will have to deal with in a claim. I've learned my lesson and I will always look at who the insurer is and who handles claims before I buy travel insurance again. I booked a trip but just 3 weeks before I was due to travel, I was diagnosed with cancer and had to cancel. This diagnosis came as a result of the Government's Bowel cancer testing program and I had no symptoms or family history of cancer prior to this. Travel Insurance Partners made the claim process very difficult at every step even demanding nearly four years of medical records despite having a certificate from my doctor, of more than ten years, that he had never treated me for this disease. Unable to find any excuse they finally had to pay me after more than five months. It was useless complaining to Medibank as they simply referred any complaint to Travel Insurance Partners. After my experience, I would not recommend placing your your travel insurance with these people.

My husband & I were delayed by weather & missed a connecting flight to Vietnam. Hotel & additional costs were covered by FastCover without question. Staff are ALWAYS pleasant & friendly when called for information or quotes. We will continue to use FastCover for our travel insurance.
