have had no experience with a claim.
i think that would be telling experience.
mind you in 40years of travelling i have never had to make a claim so have nothing to compare against

We have used 1cover for several overseas epic journeys over about 10 yrs .... have had to make two claims in that time. The first claim was relatively minor and was extremely well handled.
Our last claim was a big one as we had to cancel our whole trip to Alaska and Sth. America 1 week out from departure, due to a sudden Cancer (stage 4) diagnoses for our Daughter inlaw. It took a while to get the relevant documentation together to prove that we had no prior knowledge of the event and a reasonable amount of too-ing and fro-ing .... but I must admit the gentleman whom we dealt with was always courteous and helpful. We eventually had success and our claim was paid in full very quickly. Ultimately very happy.
We will use 1cover again.

I find the 1Cover site easy to navigate and understand, which makes buying travel insurance easier. The prices are also pretty reasonable.

We were traveling from Brisbane to Sydney with Qantas to travel on a cruise. Our flight was cancelled next flight delayed. We missed our cruise. Everyone asked if we had travel insurance. We did take it out with this company. Except they are using ever excuse to get out of paying us. What use is travel insurance if things, beyond your control, go wrong? Now taking it to the Financial Ombudsman. Do yourself a favor and save time and go with a reputable company!!!

They make it very easy to sign up and pay and are very responsive. But it is very difficult to claim. They require many documents and even expect a report from a police (original in English of course) when my camera was damaged. If you have family overseas and any claim involves them forget it they wont cover anything. Travel insurance that is designed to fail people when claiming because of the fact they travel is useless.

Much to our regret my husband had to have emergency surgery the day before we had to fly out.. The claim process way very easy with a super fast refund..

Have have 1 Cover insurance the four times we've been overseas! The ease of getting the Cover is fantastic. We made a claim the ladt time we used it and staff were fabulous.

We went overseas in December 2016 and had two medical expenses, one in New York for a physio ($350) for a bad neck and one ice-scating accident which needed medical treatment in Austria (Euro 790). I've submitted the claim via the easy to use website, attached all statements and a short explanation of the accident. The claim was settled within 2 weeks with no questions asked. That's what I call a great customer experience! I will stick with FastCover for all my travle insurance needs in the future.

We are very happy with 1Cover travel insurance. I needed to fill in a form to have an assessment review for a new medical condition very quickly before traveling a few days later. 1Cover dealt with this very promptly and explained what was not able to be covered and why.
