On our trip, we had a fight time change prior to leaving. But the change time between domestic and international was not the required after changes. Our insurance covered overnight accommodation in order to put us back onto a flight the next day. This saved us the hassle of staying at the domestic terminal overnight.

Very pleased with the quick response to our claim. Once we had submitted the requested paperwork the claim was approved 6 days later, and the money was in the bank 3 days after that.

I recently broke my ankle overseas, and 1cover were there to help. From helping me out at the hospital, to advice from nurses and doctor on some of the confusing directions the overseas doctor had given me, to getting me home in the safest and most comfortable way possible. I had a terrible time with Qantas leaving me and my partner stranded overseas after a cancelled flight. We had to make our own way to Europe, from Singapore, last minute. When we came home we submitted an Alternative Transport claim online, and dealt with a wonderful claims consultant Libby who made the whole process simple and easy (even when Qantas was making it hard). I've used 1cover regularly over the past ten years. Always a good price, and on the one occasion I had to make a claim the process was painless.

We only go with one cover because it is the least expensive. We have travelled over 30 times and paid for insurance and never made a claim, approx $6000 paid all up. There should be a loyalty discount or no claim bonus. Travel insurance is a necessary evil that I pay for because of paranoia.

I am so so grateful to 1 Cover, I got incredibly unwell in Peru and ended up in hospital by myself. Not only did they cover the hospital expenses and dealt with the hospital directly, they contacted me to reassure me my treatment was correct, to check up on me and to see how I was progressing weeks later. I needed to make a minor adjustment to my policy and due to it being extremely difficult to contact, my policy had to be cancelled and a new one at double the price paid for or I would not get a refund. This all took so long as I had been waiting for a call from company.
