I have been using 1Cover travel insurance for the last 3 years and sadly I had an emergency on my last trip. I went to South America had to pay all from my pocket as from 4 hospitals was told that they do not accept overseas insurances(It was not 1Cover fault), 1Cover approved me on the phone to pay whatever I needed due the type of emergency and once I get back to Australia I made the claim.

The claim process took more than 10 days until I was paid back for all expenses but, it was stress-free claim experience. They contacted me twice during the process to confirm some details.

Was extremely disappointed to know that insurance is not covered after you disembarked I am still today paying $45 for eyes drop for illness contracted on ship.

The proces with 1cover was quick and easy and hassle free which outweighed my expectations! i will be using them time and time again.

I am very happy to give a high rating for our recent experience. We were unfortunate to have to make a claim with one cover, but there staff handled our claim with ease, we received a refund for the claim within days of submitting the claim form. I will be taking travel insurance with one travel again next time we are heading overseas.

It took over 1.5 months for my claim, I had to follow up several times with paperwork that was already submitted on the original submission. They paid me into an incorrect account even though my details were correct on the paperwork. The depreciation on a phone I purchased late Dec and was stolen mid February was over $350 which was ridiculous. Other than that my experience as ok! Not sure if I would use them again.

Dealing with making an insurance claim was a nightmare! Difficult people and no lenience with providing documents. Will not return!

I have used 1cover a few times now for overseas travel. Due to a sudden health problem I was forced to cancel a trip to India. Claiming was uncomplicated and payout was within a reasonable time frame
