Enough to spoil ones holiday. Put in a claim to get an unexpected travel cost refunded, but "sorry, we don't cover that particular reason for a delayed flight". isn't that typical? Wouldn't touch them. Not to be relied on to help you out when you get home. They don't want to know you. Very poor. Not a happy camper, but really, are you surprised? they are an insurance company after all. Find every reason not to pay up. Wont be back ever again.

I am still travelling but needed to make a smallish claim. Dealt with in a very friendly and hugely efficient way. No bother at all.

Got sick in Singapore one year and ended up in hospital one cover paid very quickly when we got home. We choose one cover every time we travel😎

Great insurance based on value for money... that is until you have to claim. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Disgusted at their claims process. Being stuck in a foreign country at the last leg of your holiday when funds are low for an unexpected medical issue to arise, you put faith in your insurance to be on the ball.
Paying up front... not the issue, but now having waited 7 days and still no outcome of yes or no to being covered is just absolute BS.
Never again, we could have spent the money it cost for "comprehensive" cover if that is what you can even call it on better things.

Applied for cover for a pre existing injury and was prepared to pay to extra for it, but they wouldn't cover me. Kind of defeats the purpose of having insurance.
I've also used them every single time I've travelled and this last time I phoned to get cover and I didn't even get a discount for being a repeat customer where every other year I have. This is just ridiculous. No loyalty.
Also, the "refer a friend and get a gift card" thing is a lie. I emailed back and forth numerous times with 4 different policy numbers of family and friends who I've referred and no one has ever gotten back to me. The reason I had to email for it was because the link they give you to book through doesn't work. It is a direct link to the main website. I've never received any gift cards and they can't even respond to my emails. Just slack. I won't be using them again.

1Cover was by far the cheapest compared to other travel insurance providing the same cover if not better! Thank you!

I have used 1Cover direct insurance for our travel for many years now. I often recommend it to others when they ask me about this type of insurance.

Very simple, fast, easy to navigate application process. Continually kept in touch while away with email reminders. I haven't had to make a claim as yet... I hope I don't need to but I do have peace of mind that I have 1 Cover insurance.👌🏻

When i called 1cover two days before the storm to mention that i was heading towards it and was i covered for changing my travel *away* from Harvey i was told that there was no cover until *after* the event.

When i called from Houston during Harvey to ask if i was covered for getting a hotel in Dallas if i could get there i was advised that i was supposed to stay in the same hotel or 'in the area' (in other words stay in the disaster area!) and that i wouldn't know if a Dallas hotel was covered until i put in a claim (who wants to bet the claims team reject it?).

So the Emergency Team can't advise on cover. They have also provided zero advice on the best approach to minimising the impact and expense caused by Harvey. So what their role entails is anyones guess (giving useless rote responses seems to be their current modus operandi).

What is painfully obvious is that 1cover are fine if your biggest travel risk is losing your phone or having a flight delayed. If you find yourself in a serious pickle then you are better either relying on your own wits or going with a *real* insurance company.

Cant use any more as i am 75 most insurers i have checked cover me to 90.... dissapointing i wont be anle to use the servoce again
