I always use 1cover they provide terrific coverage to suit my needs and prices are great, so easy to apply online and easy to navigate. Definately recommend

Left stranded overseas after my flights had been cancelled. Insurance didn’t want to know. Had to pay extra accomodation and living and for new flights home, and missed out on work causing me to loose money.
I’d never recommend 1Cover to anyone.

I had a claim and it was settled within two days your staff were fantastic could not have been better helped me through the process within 1/2 an hour thanks very much we are using you again on our next cruise

The exchange rate used to process the claim on settlement was below the actual current exchange rate. I should have received more money.

We have used Cover 1 several times. Only once have we had need of making a claim. The process was swift and easy. When my partner took ill, I called the insurance company while we were still on vacation. The man on the phone was reassuring and so helpful. We were well taken care of and the process of getting our claim taken care of couldn't have been easier. I trust Cover 1 and will use them for all future requirements.

When our overseas transport, our flight, was delayed, it meant that we would not arrive on time. We caught the next flight possible. This is the response. first uploaded receipts - they said they did not get them emailed PDF's and JPG's - they said unable to open them recompiled with alternate programs - they accepted them Section 13 Alternate Transport Expenses, states “We will pay your Reasonable additional travel expenses to reach a wedding, funeral, conference, sporting event or prepaid travel/tour arrangements on time if your scheduled overseas transport is cancelled, delayed, shortened or diverted and that means you would not arrive on time. Our prepaid travel/tour arrangement was to arrive in Brisbane, prepaid on the 1/9/2018. They replied "We appreciate you wanted to return home from your trip on time, however, arriving home is not a planned event. Pre-booked tour arrangements in this instance refer to tours provided by tour operated by tour companies and guides. Self guided arrangements are not considered tours." They constantly quote words that are not in their PDS or refer you sections that mean where you don’t meet the criteria. They try to discourage you from claiming.

We have used this company many times & recommended to our friends, based on the great reviews. Unfortunately this company was great until a claim was made. The insurance was taken out at the same time as the trip was paid, which was about 10 months prior to travelling. Unfortunately 5 days prior to the trip my husband had an accident & broke his arm, but as this did not affect his ability to fly we did not advise the insurance company of his accident. Big mistake! My husband had paid for a tour in Europe, which cost $6,000.00, but due to his accident he was unable to go on this tour. On arrival in Europe, 6 days after the accident, we advised the insurance company of the accident, in the expectation that any claim we made would be honoured. We completed the paperwork when we arrived back home only to discover that no, they wouldn't cover because we didn't advise of the accident before the trip & also any accident that happens before you go, that doesn't cause cancellation of the trip, isn't covered, They sent copies of their documents which states this is so. I have to say I did read the PDF document when the insurance was taken out but I didn't take note of that point. It's obviously a case of buyer beware & believe me I'm very aware now.

Had my backpack stolen in Barcelona no problems with my claim I always use them so do family and friends

Payment was made within a very short time of me submitting my claim. An easy online process to follow for claims

Sure - the premiums are low and provided you’ve got all your receipts, you’ll get reimbursed - but be prepared to take control of your own situation. I broke my shoulder in Oaxaca - the specialist there said I was ok to fly home - then I contacted 1Cover and the fiasco commenced. I could have organized my own flights and been home for surgery before these clowns had any kind of plan - seriously dealing with very nice, but ultimately unprepared people who had no overall control or common sense.
