Allianz Travel Insurance Review

I must say that I am very disappointed with Allianz travel insurance. During my official trip to South Africa my baggage was stolen, but I did not receive any reimbursements. My claim was denied because they assumed that I would receive expenses from my company as I was on an official trip. Even after a lot of phone calls and emails my case has not been considered.

I had to go on a business trip to New Zealand for about a month, so I was looking for an apt travel insurance company, which would cover all my requirements. Thanks to Allianz, I was paid the charges of my lost baggage. Kudos to Allianz!

My primary concern while choosing a travel insurance plan is its reliability and coverage. Allianz travel insurance came to my rescue when my wife and I were backpacking through Europe. My family home was destroyed in a fire and Allianz paid for our trip back to Australia so we can get the repairs and insurance claim on the damaged home sorted out.

My encounter with Allianz travel insurance was a bit bitter sweet. I received the compensation that I was promised, but I had to provide them with a lot of paperwork regarding my vaccination status which was a bit time consuming. My overall rating for this company would be average.
