Allianz travel insurance is terrible. Despite multiple warnings about past experiences from friends, I went ahead with them due to their reputation. I got the policy for my trip to the US via US Airways. Coincidentally, a close relative of mine was diagnosed with a serious illness and I had to cancel that trip. Allianz was excellent at finding loop holes for not approving my claim. In the end, their consensus was my cancellation was not covered because the medical diagnosis was not covered. At that point, I figured it was not worth pursuing my case further and asked for a policy refund. They ceased all communication with me. I will definitely not purchase another policy with them. My claim for $500 was rejected, and no help was offered in any way. When I enquired why, the answer was a straight no right off the bat. They had all sorts of excuses backup to make sure your claim will be unsuccessful. What a joke. Never buy from them.

While travelling in Greece I fell gravely ill and was hospitalized in intensive care. Allianz travel insurance claims had assured me that I would receive compensation for the hospitalization. After the claim was filed, the compensation that I received from them did not even cover a quarter of the expenses that I incurred! I would never recommend Allianz travel insurance.

Do not buy from Allianz. It took them 4 weeks to process my claim, and the outcome? Rejected! My bag was stolen while travelling in Europe. Had my passport, sunglassess, watch, cash camera and phone in my bag. I had at least $2,000 worth of items in that bag. Their maximum reimbursement for stolen luggage was $300. They would not pay any more for the individual items despite having the receipts of the items. The customer service, not only did she not show any sympathy for my situation, she was rude and talked in a very condecending tone. Never will I buy any products from them again.

Allianz travel insurance is supposed to have a 24 hour emergency support. I was a bit disappointed when I had to call them several times for filing my claim and to know the status of my claim. They also did not endorse their claims of delivery within 10 working days, but I did receive full compensation for my expenses after 3 weeks.

On my recent trip to the States, my credit cards were stolen. Thanks to Allianz, they not only reimbursed my replacement costs, but also the loss due to fraudulent use of my credit cards. Also, I did not face any problems during the rest of my trip because everything was taken care of by Allianz. Thank you Allianz!

Allianz travel insurance plan that I had opted for clearly stated that in case of loss or theft the same must be reported to them within 24 hours. When I lost my baggage and travel documents, I tried calling their 24 hour emergency support, but couldn't get through. When I finally spoke to the customer service agent I was informed that my claim will not be filed as I had breached the deadline for reporting the loss. Unbelievably shoddy service!

Bought a policy from Allianz for my trip to US. While over there I fell ill and seek medical attention. While I had to fork out $250 for my medical consultation and medication at first. I subsequently made a claim when I got back home and got the money in my account 2 weeks later..

Allianz is the best bet for travel insurance. My insurance was automatically extended when I was delayed due to bad weather on my way back home. I even got paid for expenses due to the delay, while it is not much, I am glad that they honoured their end of the benefits provided.

Buying travel insurance online was a gamble which in my case has paid of quite well. Allianz travel insurance that I bought from their website helped me immensely. During my official trip to Europe I misplaced my travel documents, including my passport. The people at Allianz were very helpful and paid all the expenses incurred for replacing the documents.

Allianz travel insurance has been a great investment. The different plans that you can choose from provide coverage not only in Australia but also internationally. For our trip to England, I chose Allianz for my family and I am very happy with the service that they have provided me with. The claim for our stolen bags were very easy to file due to their 24 hour emergency support. I would recommend Allianz travel insurance to everybody for their next trip.
Allianz was fantastic. I have just been away to Turkey and sadly my favourite camera got dropped and smashed into pieces on the floor. I took disposable pictures for the rest of the trip and when I got back and put in my claim, Allianz accepted and I got my money back within 2 weeks. Fab!
