How many people can I include in my policy?
Insure and Go allows you to buy a policy up to 10 people online.
Am I covered if I go on a cruise?
You are if you purchase a Cruise or Annual Multi-Trip policy.
Am I covered for skiing and my equipment?
Yes as long as you pay for their winter sports package. You're covered for unlimited medical evacuation from the slopes, $600 for your pre-booked Lift Passes and Ski Packs and $1,250 cover for damage to your winter sports equipment.
Can I pay to reduce or cancel my excess?
Yes if you pay an additional premium when you purchase your policy.
What additional extras are there?
Natural Disaster cover, Business cover and Activities Plus are upgrades you can include on your policy.
Am I covered if my tour company collapses?
Insure&Go policies contain exclusions relating to financial default. Claims may not be covered due to this event.
I'm not an Australian resident- can I buy cover?
Yes, as long as you have valid Medicare cover, private health care or student travel
What size moped or motorbike am I covered to ride overseas?
You are covered to ride a bike up to 500cc if you hold a licence to operate the motorcycle in the country you are travelling in and hold the equivalent licence in Australia.
How long is their single trip cover for?
12 months.
Can I extend my policy from overseas?
Having too much fun? No problems! You can extend your policy with for up to a year, as long as your initial policy has not expired. Just give them a call on 1300 401 177.
Do they cover for my rental vehicle excess?
Yes, when the Silver and Gold level of cover is selected and must be one of the following vehicle types:
- Campervan or motorhomes under 6 tonnes; or
- Coupe, 4WD, hatchback, minibus, people mover, sedan, station wagon or SUV; or
- Motorcycles or mopeds,
with less than 9 seats, owned by a licensed rental company or agency.
What is their cooling off period?
21 days.

This insurance is underwritten by the insurer Europ Assistance Australia Pty Ltd, ACN 140 219 594, AFSL 552106, trading as Insure&Go and other brands.

The things we were looking for were - in no particular order;<br/>Price<br/>Cover<br/>Extras<br/>Existing medical conditions<br/>Car excess<br/>There were 5 that were rated as being the top<br/>I found InsureandGo by accident as I was going with Virgin or 1Cover, or even Fast Insurance. Even looked at Budget.<br/>But InsureandGo was not only the cheaper of all but covered more and had less excess and the bonus was each pre-existing medical condition listed was excepted without additional fees.<br/>With Virgin I was advised I'd have to ring.<br/>So - very very happy with InsureandGo's online system and insurance options. I took the top one as I was already expecting to pay a lot higher with the others, so I got more for less at the end of the day :)
