Zoom Travel Insurance Review

I have used Zoom Travel Insurance before and have one pending. I have no issues with them so far but have not had to make a claim which is fortunate. I can only hope they will be as good with their claims as they are to deal with when taking out a policy. All good.

I recently travelled to the UK and had planned on travelling mainland Europe after I had finished my travels there. We had everything booked, however 3 days before we were due to leave for the mainland I was hospitalised, coughing up blood, unable to swallow and with a fever. <br/><br/>We were given a probable diagnosis of tonsillitis, and advised not to travel due to my condition not improving over time, but the doctor was unable to give us a definitive timeline of my condition as the symptoms, other than coughing up blood, had been present for nearly 2 weeks prior to attending the A&E Department. Following our doctor's advice, we returned to Australia instead of carrying on with the remainder of our trip.<br/><br/>Upon returning home, we submitted an insurance claim for the remainder of our trip. We explained our situation and provided all the requested documents, including hospital records of my visit, which took nearly 2 months to collate and upon providing all of this our claim was rejected due to "not being medically required to return home" as judged by their "medical experts" 2 months after the fact and without having done a physical examination.<br/><br/>In the end it was a lot of hoops to jump through for absolutely no result. We nearly $5000 as a result of our cancellation and need to return home. <br/><br/>Having spoken to several other insurance agencies, all of whom have stated that the documentation provided would've been sufficient to settle a claim, I won't be using Zoom again.

Although I didn't need to make any claims it was great to know that Zoom travel insurance had my back.

Our Zoom policy gave us peace of mind and fortunately we didn't have any issues that required a claim

Having to make a claim, I've spoken with the customer service team severeal times and they're been more than helpful. Definitely reccommend as I've only spoken to local staff and genuinely caring people. <br/>One area of improvement would be the online document submission area, where once you've put a document up, I can't seem to open it to check what I've uploaded.

No fuss insurance completed application on the internet with easy to pay system and had my application accepted and downloaded the policy <br/>It was the best priced for the travel insurance that I was looking for <br/>They emailed me to ensure that if I would need to increase the days coverage or weather or not I would be home on the date that the policy expired

Easy to deal, excellent customer service and good value for money. We will use this again on our next travel. Actually, just bought another travel insurance for my husband current travel. Thanks zoom for peace of mind travel.

They have been really great and quite reasonable as well, we had to have a claim as my husband got sick and we had to cancel our trip just a couple of days before we were due to go. They have also been quite quick in settling the claim with very little hassle I will recommend them to everyone.

All went well so we didn't need to make a claim. Reassuring to know they are there if you need them.

I was at first dubious when making a claim for a hotel stay + incidental expenses as the flight got delay due to weather conditions. But the claim got reviewed and approved pretty fast. I was quite happy and will use Zoom<br/> again for my next trip

I found it very simple to lodge a claim online. Only issue was trying to send a video file through email which was the only way available. The response emails however were surprisingly fast and my claim was assessed within days! Since I had all the required documentation my claim was then approved quickly. I am impressed that I was covered for my stolen phone, case and cash so promptly. Thanks Zoom.
