Zoom Travel Insurance Review

Purchased the travel insurance for a short leisure trip to Victoria, mainly to be covered for rental vehicle excess damage but was also covered for other events.<br/>Good value for money insurance.

The 3 options were clearly mapped out with no endless small print to go through as it gave trust before hitting the ‘pay’ button

Didn't have to make a claim but applying for the travel insurance itself was a very easy process and also good value for money.

Awesome insurance at an affordable price. Very easy to understand and you can actually tailor it to your needs.

I needed to Make a Claim to change my return flight whilst I fell ill in Mexico on transit to the USA.<br/>The claims team got back to me after 2 days (via email) insisting I see a Doctor in Mexico.<br/>By then I was on my way to the USA& asked if I could submit supporting medical documentation from a US Doctor.<br/>Zoom never even responded to me.<br/>I ended up paying $1000 to change my flight home.<br/>Don’t use Zoom travel insurance- you will simply be wasting your money.<br/><br/>I’ve only ever had to claim for travel insurance once in 30 years of travelling (this was the second time). It was with QBE & they were excellent.

Good value travel insurance, that I could rely on, when I claimed additional travel expenses due to an illness. I had to postpone my flight by 24 hours, for which Singapore Airlines charged me through the nose. But Zoom Travel Insurance picked up the tab very quickly and without any fuss. All I had to pay was the $200 excess - very impressive.

I am unable to give a revue on any claims made on this policy as we were fortunate enough to have a trouble free holiday .<br/>I will be using Zoom again for my next trip though for sure.

Didn't need to use insurance, however purchased due to hiring of car and this insurance was the best value for money and offered best value for car hire.

Reviewed a variety of policies to cover a simple domestic trip. Just needed can rental excess, travel delay and possibly delayed baggage covered. Zoom covered all of these at a very good price, so was happy to purchase their cover. The real test of an insurer is when you claim. That's when the good guys rise to the top, and the bad guys show their true money grabbing colours. We did not claim so cannot comment. Others probably have so their reviews should be respected and considered closely.<br/><br/>Happy to use Zoom again. Good cover at a good price.

All immediate and extended family members now use Zoom and we are very happy with the pricing, ease of online purchase, and the great package inclusions that suites our travel styles. <br/><br/>However. none of us have ever had to make a claim. So, while the purchase side of Zooom seems excellent the real test of the product will be at the unfortunate time if we ever have to make a claim.<br/>Cheers.<br/>Ray.

Didn’t have to make a claim which is good so can’t say what the claims process is like but good value for money.
