My flight was cancelled and even though their policy says over and over that they have unlimited cover for cancellations there is a clause on page 52 2.11 f stating that no cover is provided if there is a cancellation due to mechanical failure. Don't get duped into thinking you are covered by this company. Oh and it took 5 weeks for them to assess this claim. Be Careful.

Family of 6 intended travelling to Sri Lanka late July 2019 and purchased travel insurance from Worldcare Travel Insurance. In view of the bombings in Sri Lanka over Easter and the Australian Government warnings to “Reconsider travel to this region”, we called Worldcare Travel Insurance to cancel our flights. We were advised by the claims department, that Worldcare Travel Insurance does not cover for acts of Terrorism or if the Australian Government places warnings not to travel to this region. The cost of these policies total approx $600 - which is a total waste of our money, as we can’t travel to this destination and Worldcare Travel Insurance will not cover you. I cannot stress enough, do not waste your time or money on this rubbish travel insurance.I always thought the purpose of Travel Insurance was to cover for unexpected and unforeseen events - obviously I was wrong.

Originally I liked Worldcare because you could insure for one medical pre-condition and not the whole she-bang which most insurance companies want to charge you for, even if you have only one pre-condition. However, after the last trip I submitted a claim as a flight had been cancelled which had messed up our continuing travel arrangements leaving us out of pocket by an amount of money that wouldn't break the bank, but I thought I would try and claim. Even though I gave copies of all the boarding passes and a photo of the Flight Board showing the cancellation, they wanted a letter from the airlines stating why the flight was cancelled. I tried contacting said airline several times, but they ignored my requests. Why should they bother, as they had fulfilled their obligations by getting us to our destination - eventually. If Worldcare can't exercise some commmonsense judgment on this, I would be worried they would find some obscure loophole to not pay a more serious medical claim . I won't insure with them again.

I had a quad biking accident in 2016, luckily I had only suffered bruises but the quad bike had some damage to it. There wasn't anywhere in the policy that excluded quad bikes, yet they managed to find some loophole so that I could not make a claim for the quad damages. The tour company had insurance so I had to pay their excess, luckily as it would have cost more. This was the last of our spending money too.Yet no help from Worldcare. I have used them several times, but I will be trying another company for my next trip.

This company gave value for money. I checked other companies and some were the same price but this one had different benefits so I will use this company again.

My priority was to have a travel insurance policy I could rely on and I found their service non existent. My son suffered a seizure on a flight. Our first day was spent in a hospital with a doctor's report recommending our son have plenty of rest and less light in the return flight. So I phoned the Worldcare emergency number to be answered by an IVR system, not a person. I then emailed their claims email address in order to get 2 fares changed to better seats for my son and at least one parent. Their response so far: not even an acknowledgement of the email. So, if you want support from your insurance provider, look to another provider. It's also disappointing that their procedures allowed us to fall through the cracks and that management don't appear to have been informed or that the issue hasn't been escalated.

My husband got dengue fever whilst in Thailand. From the moment I contacted Worldcare, they were brilliant, their advice, follow-up and support were invaluable. It is great to have an Australian to speak to and the advice from the nurse was reassuring. The claim was settled quickly, even if the paperwork to make the claim was over the top - this is the only criticism I have of the whole process. I highly recommend Worldcare and will use them again.

My laptop was damaged in Europe and Worldcare were a dream to deal with. My claim was paid in less than 2 weeks and there were no complications. Thanks Worldcare!

I have been with Worldcare for 3 years now and I am more or less satisfied with their service. The claim takes time to get processed and the loss is not fully covered, but I am fine with it as far as they consider the claims and process it.

I wanted to get myself insured with a good travel insurance company, and that is when someone told me about Worldcare. They claimed to be the best, but from my experience I would say that they are the worst. My claim for loss of income was not processed even after furnishing them with all the details.
