Tick Travel Insurance Travel Insurance Review

I bought this insurance policy while transiting from living in London to living back home in Australia (it was for travel in the intervening period). As I put an australian address as my contact point, but left for my trip from the UK, my subsequent claim was not allowed due to fine print that said i needed to leave from Australia. I was actually not insured the whole time which could have been horrific if something really costly had happened. Never using again.

Communication could be improved if your staff took the trouble and actually read messages instead of sending "cut & paste" replies. - the "one that fits all" approach is not always suitable. In my case it took more than 10 email exchanges before someone answered my simple, straight forward question - very time wasting and most frustrating. Perhaps, due to a glitch in your software - we received two copies of each email. Surely an efficient organisation with competent staff could do better.

Very easy, well presented and well priced. Nice to travel without the concern of what may or may not happen whilst overseas on a holiday.

Only criticism - getting back on line with the Quote number. I had trouble getting it back up and paying.

Easy medical assessment and reasonable additional cost for existing medical conditions make Tick Insurance attractive as far as travel insurance is concerned.

I currently live in Australia and decided to go visit my mum and dad for Christmas in England .Whilst visiting my mum was rushed into hospital with next 24hr being critical. So needed to cancel my flight and rebook it and was told due to my mum not being in Australia I wasn’t covered for this absolutely disgusting knowing I got travel insurance and just because I’m visiting family I’m not covered for my Mum being rushed into hospital

Was great for our group of travelers as we had one traveling with a pre existing condition. They, unlike others, were prepared to cover her and at not too much extra so we between the 6 of us just shared the premium as it wasn’t exorbitant,,, bring on our trip and will definitely be getting a quote from Tick for all my future travels

They were very helpful and understanding. They were easily contactable via email or phone both overseas and in Australia. Very competitive pricing.

Customer service is really good, you got quick responses and updates for your claim up until it's been solved. Good value for money. I have the trust for this company. Will buy insurance policies again. Highly recommended.

Used Tick Travel 4 times. Made a small claim for a damaged suitcase. Put up so many obstacles-rejected claim. Thank heavens I didn't have to make a serious claim overseas as I feel I would have been left high and dry. Very quick to take your money- but no help at all when you claim !! Wouldn't dream of ever using Tick Travel Insurance again !!!

We have been using another company for travel insurance for a number of years but this time for no explicable reason their fees have virtually doubled.Searching the internet we came across Tick Insurance and what a surprise.The cover is excellent and the price for their Top cover is less than half what our previous company was asking.No guessing where we will be getting our travel insurance from in future.
