This is our 2nd time with Tick. Very happy with the price & the ease of doing it online. Thankfully have not had to make a claim.

The first time and the last time I have used tick insurance. My Bali to Brisbane flight got cancelled so the airline put me on a flight to Perth and then I was stranded in Perth. I was told I had to go to Sydney and then Brisbane but when I called tick they told me they would not cover the cost of any of it. Not only did I pay over $50 for top cover insurance, I was also out of pocket $550 for the flights to get back home. I’ve learnt my lesson and I will definitely not be using tick again.

I’m a return customer. A couple of years ago I needed to make a claim (my first ever). I found the process straight forward and Tick’s dealing with my claim both professional and timely.

The site auto populated my birth date as 1/1/2000 I didn't notice until I received the policy but one quick call and it was sorted. Thanks

I purchased top insurance cover for a 2 week trip to Morocco. On our return a flight from Marrakech to Casablanca it was delayed by 90 minutes meaning our connection to Doha was missed. All flights out of Casablanca were full and we were stuck there for 48 hours. I put in a claim to Tick Insurance for expenses incurred due to the delay which was out of our control. My claim was 'declined' because the delay was due to Operational Constraints and not to weather conditions, a strike, industrial action or mechanical breakdown. A delay is a delay and clearly the airlines fault as they sent us an email apologising. Tick Insurance provide appalling service - will never consider them again.

Very good price for over 70's travel insurance. Let's hope if I need to make a claim, it will be just as good as purchasing this insurance......time will tell. Hopefully I won't have to use it !

Cheap and easy to purchase (which in hindsight should have been an indicator that claiming would not be so straight forward!). I lost an expensive pair of sunglasses on a cruise and when I claimed for them it was such an arduous process with lots of documentation required and emailed questions which went on and on for over a month (making a claim for motor vehicle insurance is far easier). After jumping through all their hoops they rejected the claim on the basis that sunglasses are specifically excluded to be claimed as stated in their Product Disclosure Document. This is where the problem lies, you get this document after you purchase the policy and reading it on-line is near impossible. Also I made the mistake of assuming lost property includes any of your personal property, but once you read the exclusions, many common items you would take on a holiday are excluded. Anyway my bad for choosing a cheap policy and not reading the fine print. This is a bad policy compared to others if similar price which do include sunglasses as lost property. I won't be using Tick again.

Tick Insurance has been very helpful to me this year. Due to family reasons I had to cancel 2 overseas trips. Fortunately for me I had travel insurance with Tick which covered cancellation. Both claims were finalised promptly. I have now booked another trip for next year and have again purchased travel insurance with Tick. I highly recommend them.

I was looking for a no frills Travel Insurance to cover me for medical basically. Tick was not the cheapest but its associated fees were less, while providing more benefits. The online booking system is quick, easy to use and within minutes you're done. I just hope that if I need to claim, they will be as accommodating. Thanks Tick for peace of mind so far.

We have booked a trip to Hawaii next year, and a cruise back to Sydney, and looked to the insurer that we always use, however found that with our age penalty, it was far too expensive, so a search found Tick. The benefits look fine, and the price was far less than the other brand. Easy to get a quote and buy on line. We haven't traveled yet, and obviously havent had a claim, but so far, so good. Hopefully we won't need them!

I have purchased insurance previously through Tick and had to make a claim and it was an easy and trouble free experience.

Sydney!
Our luggage full of winter clothings and boots are lost during transit and we need them in 2 days time for our winter trip to Japan. Only offered $400 dollars to replace full winter gears for 4 person over a 2 weeks trip. Doesn’t allow us to cancel our trip either in such conditions. Forcing us to brave winter weather without proper equipment. Shame on you Tick Insurance!
