CTI Verdict

InsureandGo has a strong reputation for value, with 90 activities covered as standard and cover available up to age 100 – one of the highest limits in the market. That said, pre-existing medical conditions require a separate assessment; worth keeping in mind if you have health conditions to declare, as it adds a step to the buying process.

    How many people can I include in my policy?

    The more the merrier right? Insure and Go allows you to buy a policy up to 10 adults online.

    Am I covered if I go on a cruise?

    Yes you are. Here's a top tip: Even if you're travelling in Aussie water you still need to pick pacific.

    Am I covered for skiing and my equipment?

    Yes as long as you pay for their winter sports package. You're covered for unlimited medical evacuation from the slopes, $600 for your pre-booked Lift Passes and Ski Packs and $1,250 cover for damage to your winter sports equipment.

    Can I pay to reduce or cancel my excess?

    Yes if you pay an additional premium when you purchase your policy.

    What additional extras are there?

    You can pay for golf cover so that you have protection for your golf equipment and any pre-paid green fees or tuition fees.

    Am I covered if my tour company collapses?

    Yes, they cover for an event causing the cancellation of all, or part of your trip which happens after you purchased your policy which results in the travel services provider no longer carrying out its business.

    I'm not an Australian resident- can I buy cover?

    Yes, as long as you have valid Medicare cover, private health care or student travel

    What size moped or motorbike am I covered to ride overseas?

    You're covered to ride a bike over 125cc only if you hold a current and valid license required for driving an equivalent rated motorcycle in Australia.

    How long is their single trip cover for?

    12 months.

    Can I extend my policy from overseas?

    Having too much fun? No problems! You can extend your policy with for up to a year, as long as your initial policy has not expired. Just give them a call on 1300 401 177.

    Do they cover for my rental vehicle excess?

    Yes, for up to $4000. The rental car must have no more than 9 seats and not be driven off a Public Highway. The rental contract duration has to be less than 15 consecutive days.
