How many people can I include in my policy?
You can only purchase insurance for parties of two adults and up to 10 children online. If you have a larger group, call Fast Cover to see how many additional people can be added to your policy.
Am I covered if I go on a cruise?
The cruise option can be added to a Comprehensive, Standard Saver or Basics policy. The Frequent Traveller Saver policy auto includes the cruise option on the policy.
Am I covered for skiing?
If you are travelling internationally and select “yes” to doing snow sports, the policy type available becomes the Snow Sports Plus policy type. Snow sports are auto included under the Domestic plus policy.
What additional extras are there?
Fast Cover allows you to add on a Cruise option, Snow option, Adventure Pack, Bicycle Pack, Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess and Motorcycle Pack.
Am I covered if my tour company collapses?
No, Fast Cover doesn't provide protection from insolvency.
What size moped or motorbike am I covered to ride overseas?
You must purchase the Motorcycle Pack and then you can ride a motorcycle, moped or scooter with an engine capacity of 125cc or less (but only if you hold both a current Australian Drivers Licence and a licence valid for the country that you are riding in). If you want to ride a motorcycle, moped or scooter with an engine capacity greater than 125cc, you must hold both a current Australian Motorcycle Licence valid for the same class of motorcycle, moped or scooter, and a licence valid for the country that you are riding in.
How long is their single trip cover for?
12 months.
Can I extend my policy from overseas?
If you decide to lengthen you trip you can do so for up to 12 months. Call Fast Cover on 1300 409 322.
Do they cover for my rental vehicle excess?
Fast Cover will reimburse the rental vehicle excess or the cost of repairing the vehicle whichever is the less if, during the journey, the rental vehicle is involved in an accident or is damaged or stolen while in your custody.
Who underwrites them?
FastCover is underwritten by Lloyds Australia.
What's their cooling off period?
The cooling off period is 25 days.
