What pre-existing medical conditions do AllClear cover?
All conditions are considered and no medical condition is automatically rejected.
Am I covered for skiing and my equipment?
Winter sports cover is available. You will need to buy this as an Optional Extra. This also covers your ski equipment and piste closure.
Am I covered if my tour company collapses?
You will be covered for transport or accommodation but not tour operator because should be covered elsewhere.
I'm not an Australian resident - can I buy cover?
This insurance is only available to travellers who are citizens or permanent residents of Australia or non-permanent residents who have a valid Medicare, Private Health Fund or Overseas Student Travel Insurance in Australia.
What size moped or motorbike am I covered to ride overseas?
You are covered if the engine capacity is less than 125cc. You also need to be wearing a crash helmet.
How long is their single trip cover for?
You can get single trip cover for up to 12 months.
Can I extend my policy from overseas?
In exceptional circumstances, AllClear would consider requests for extending your policy when you are overseas.
Do they cover for my rental vehicle excess?
No AllClear do not cover rental excess cover when you hire a vehicle on your holiday.
How many people can I include in my policy?
You can select up to 10 travellers to be covered on a policy.
Am I covered if I go on a cruise?
AllClear Gold, Gold Plus and Traveller all cover travel via a cruise! This cover includes medical emergency expenses and cancellation cover.
Who underwrites them?
This insurance is underwritten by Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company Limited.
Purchased travel insurance with AllClear for the first AND LAST time. Our cruise was cancelled by RC and was informed that AllClear may be able to credit to another cruise trip. Upon checking this AllClear has now denied the option to credit to another trip even though we have not made any claim. They are part of Insure and Go so don't use them either. Now involving ACCC.
