Holiday Rescue FAQ
How many people can I include in my policy?
A maximum of six adult travellers can be included on each policy, with a maximum of 10 travellers total.
Am I covered if I go on a cruise?
You can be, but you must selected the cruising add-on to be covered.
Am I covered for skiing and my equipment?
Skiing and snow sports are automatically included in coverage. Policies also include up to $1000 per item of snow equipment damaged due to an accident, such as fire.
Can I pay to reduce or cancel my excess?
Yes if you pay an additional premium when you purchase your policy.
What additional extras are there?
There are no extras additional to cruise coverage.
Am I covered if my tour company collapses?
Holiday Rescue provides no protection from financial collapse of service providers.
I'm not an Australian resident - can I buy cover?
No, you must be an Australian resident to purchase.
What size moped or motorbike am I covered to ride overseas?
Holiday Rescue do not offer coverage for motorbikes or motorcycles. You may have coverage for scooters or mopeds under 50cc provided you meet their other criteria.
How long is their single trip cover for?
12 months.
Can I extend my policy from overseas?
Yes, you can extend your policy online up to a maximum duration of 12 months.
Do they cover for my rental vehicle excess?
Yes, for up to $5000. Cover includes sedans, hatchbacks, station-wagon, four wheel drives, mini buses or campervans/motorhomes that does not exceed 4.5 tonnes.
Who underwrites them?
Holiday Rescue travel insurance policies are underwritten by Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd.
