I have never need to make a claim so far, but I have found the process of purchasing and the value of the cover for the money spent is great. I have only heard good things about TID. From other people I know the claim process is definitely one of the best.

By far the cheapest and best value I could find. The company sent me messages to make sure we were all ready for our trip. Very Cheap piece of mind.

Recently used TID for a trip to India, whilst there someone stole my bag while i was taking a "how to become a samosa guru" class. I was unable to get a police report at the time and resigned myself to losing all my valuables.. The staff at TID were plenty helpful and i ended up recovering all my costs! Recommend them.

Great insurance company. Really easy to use. has a claim to make overseas when I got a lot of items stolen in Europe. The claim process was quick and easy and I was reimbursed everything.

They said they would pay the claim if I paid my $100 excess first so I paid that 8 weeks ago and they still haven't paid the medical company, this is unacceptable as the Medical Company are contacting me for the funds. I am thinking they are a scam as they took my $100 but have not paid the account and it has been over 8 weeks, yet they took the $100 within a week ?

I have used travel Insurance Direct a few times now and they are great value for money, kids are free! They also offer discounts like 5% off. Its quick to get and they don't ask lengthy questions.

Great coverage for a very reasonable price. The purchase experience was very easy, the website was extremely user friendly. All information was emailed quickly in formats that were printer compatible. Great experience.

I took out travel insurance to make sure my expensive camera would be covered in case anything happened to it while I was on holiday in Turkey. It turned out I wasn’t covered at all after it was left in the back of a taxi. Little did I know that my camera was not covered if left in any form of transport, let alone a taxi. The reason I took out insurance in the first place was to cover me for situations like this. I will not be bothering next time TID.

I used TID for my three week trip to Thailand and was surprised as at the level of customer service I received. Thank you TID for making such a mundane task as buying travel insurance a fairly enjoyable experience. I will definitely use you again!

They seem like a decent company with cheap rates. I did some price comparisons over the internet and found them to be one to the cheapest.

I purchased travel insurance with TID last year. My grandfather fell ill while I was on my trip. I had to cut my trip short and TID covered my travel to get home, and back to Canada a month later so I could continue with my planned trip. It was the last time I saw my grandfather alive. I was grateful for having TID. It was really unexpected as none of my family members thought it would be covered by TID. It took me less than a couple of minutes to sign up and it provided a lot of benefits at a very low price. The only downside to it was it took ages to process my claim instead of the promised 10 days.

I used them to cover for the car rental excess. It was a much cheaper solution to pay more to have the car insurance excess reduced. I am going overseas soon and I will be getting a policy from them again. I'm glad I have found TID
