getting the policy was easy I based my decision on this company by the review by choice magazine. I work for an insurance company that no longer sells travel insurance. If we need to claim will be the test.

First time I have claimed for cancellation of flight on travel insurance. Surprise the reason for the cancellation was not included in the fine print. So they did not pay.

Our claim took over three months and our case manager continually asked for documents already provided including a copy of our passports? Had to chase up the case manager so many times and after such a long period denied our claim!!!! Then didn't know what we were claiming? It was very clear and so I realised that we were in trouble with the people handling our case. Why put customers through this frustration and only to reject the claim. Would never use your Company again and have advised friends and family the same. Word of mouth is powerful! Extremely disappointed with both your Insurance Company and the treatment we received. I thought as you were part of Insure and Go it would be a good reputable company but realise you are both the same and having used Insure and Go in the past will not do again. Take our money but don't give anything back when there is a claim. The media are fully aware of how the Insurance Companies work and how they wriggle out of any claims they are faced with. One of the well-known ploys is to continually ask for more and more documents(which is what happened to us) - People are always on the radio and TV stating this and how they are treated by Travel Insurance Companies hoping the customer will get sick of the process and either go away or accept whatever they are offered (Usually nothing) it is a disgrace! I have never had any trouble with House or Car Insurance because its handled in Australia by reputable honest Companies and the very few times I have had a reason to claim it was done in the most professional way with good results.

Travelled to Sweden for two months as a Type 1 Diabetic. Tick was the most comprehensive and cheapest for my requirements. While I didn’t need hospital while there, i did have a minor car accident where no one was hurt. I contacted Tick. The representative was professional and understanding. Sent me an email with instructions and 1 month later I was reimbursed for all my out of pocket expenses. It was not the first time I have used tick and will not be the last.

Like many others we always take out travel insurance when going on holiday and have been lucky not to have claimed ever, this changed when in Hong Kong recently and our clothing was left locked up in a laundry after the city basically shut down after a typhoon warning was issued and we had to fly out early the next day prior to the Laundry re opening We unsuccessfully tried to get it couriered onto Singapore to catch up with us so had to buy replacements for the lost clothing, on return to Aus we submitted a claim supported by photos sent to us by the Laundry showing all items left behind and courier dockets and emails from our efforts trying to recover our clothing. The claim was in the end declined due to us not have receipts or proof of purchase for the clothing.
How many people do you know that keep receipts or proof of purchase for all there clothing they take away on holidays.

We always buy our travel insurance through Tick Insurance. Easy site to navigate, cheap price and no problems when we had to make a claim. Strongly recommend Tick Insurance.

No problems with booking insurance through Tick even though we are both over 70. Price much better than elsewhere for comparable product. We did not make any claim so cannot comment from that aspect.
