Other insurance companies are too complicated and not user friendly. I have used itrek 4 times now and would gladly use them again

Had a medical incident overseas. Our insurance was not accepted by either the clinic or hospital.. we tried to call the claims number and the customer service numbers but could not get through on any number. Tried to process a claim online and the site wouldn't accept attachments. Really disappointed

I made a claim on my trip because of a medical issue.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to visit a hospital whilst in transit to South America. The ambulance bill along with the hospital bill was about $2000.

I also had to claim for the cost of an unexpected flight when the border between Chile and Argentina was closed due to snow, and I was unable to get to my international flight in reasonable time without booking a last minute flight. Also pretty pricey.

I provided all the evidence of what had happened to itrek via email, and within 2-3 weeks, everything was processed. It was a really easy process and I was very impressed with the service.

The reason I chose iTrek in the first place was because I had planned to go skiing, and it was pretty much the only insurance company that offered an affordable policy for winter sports. I didn't end up skiing in the end, but the choice to use iTrek worked really well and I'd definitely recommend iTrek to friends and family.

Not happy re: depreciation of items as they still need to be replaced at current market value. Proof of purchase can be somewhat onerous. As one who travels with cash only I would like to be able to increase the amount covered. I would prefer to pay a higher premium and have items covered for replacement value.

Due to issues outside my control, I missed 3 flights home from America, Mexico & PNG in the space of 8 months. I made a claim and each time it was accepted without any questions. If you have the supporting documents, you will be compensated quickly and efficiently. On the last flight out of PNG (the plane never turned up) I received a refund 3 days after lodging my claim. I always travel with itrek.

The team were responsive and helpful, the claim was processed quite quickly. The team on the emergency service number were absolutely fantastic. Will purchase this insurance again, thanks!

I have made two claims through itrek and both were good - much better than more expensive travel insurance I have purchased in past (eg Medibank Private). Nice work itrek!

As a frequent overseas traveler I decided to try ITrek recently and wish I never did. One of the very few times I have ever needed to make a claim and this company did everything possible to deny it and succeeded in not paying one cent! And that's after "losing" my claim twice! Definitely look elsewhere.

Very helpful. Policy covered a lot of things not normally covered by other companies. Good to have that peace of mind whilst travelling

Appreciated the careful consideration given regarding my claim. Background was that 5 days out from flying overseas, my wife was seriously ill and admitted to hospital. This was classified as a family emergency for which I received a partial refund from the travel agent and most of the rest was paid by 1Cover. I have used ITrek previously for some time because of the fairness of their premiums and the cover that they provide. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company on the basis of service, price and efficient claim processing.
