I insured my mother for her holiday to Greece.
Unfortunately she got ill while overseas and we lost her 1 week ago.
Insure and Go has been amazing, from when I notified them of her illness until they repatriated my mother back home.
You can't get more experience with dealing with them that what I have just experienced.
I flew to be by her side for a whole month and they supported me and my sister that came over to take over from me all the way.
Thank you Insure and Go, I will never forget what you did for us.

We were in China when a respiratory infection made me very ill and we had to miss a post tour. In China where no one speaks English. We were totally isolated needing medical assistance and the people on the other end of the phone were just so detached. No reccomendation to assist us in any wya no address where an English speaking doctor was, nor havong an voice on the other end of the phone who cared and my husband was so distressed but no one offered any help. Never ever think that this company would help.comletely isolated without help I would not wish this on anyone. would never choose Insure and Go.who do not know what the word help means.

Do not waste your money on INSUREANDGGO. I dont believe you will see an authentic positive review of this company when it comes to making a claim. I chose INSUREANDGO because of their apparently good value... Big Mistake! . My luggage containing mostly clothing,personal items and some souvenirs was lost by the airline. My INSUREANDGO claim is void because I do not have original puchase receipts for all items lost. Who has receipts for clothes bought more than a couple of weeks ago? Even if I did have receipts I am advised by Insureandgo that my claim is invalid because the airline could not state a proven loss within 30 days of the trip completion. The airline spends some time and effort in their own search before issing such a statement. Even if you avoid these two tricks Insureandgo has plenty of fine print to fall back on. This is a good example of a seemingly proper company that will do whatever it takes to avoid their side of the contract and in doing so they prey on the trust of travellers. Do not waste your money with INSUREANDGO (and others who use them eg TICK INSURANCE).. When it comes to a even a simple claim they will be unhelpful, and full of tricks. BEWARE you are NOT INSURED when you put your money their way unless every syllable of their fine print is adhered to. INSUREANDGO are bad news and should be avoided completely.

DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. When my internal flight in Mongolia was cancelled due to weather and I missed all my international connections, I had to rebook flights home, incurring a cost of $1900. Insureandgo denied the claim on the basis that their list of inclusions for cancellations doesn't cover cancellations due to weather. Weather items are NOT listed in their exclusions. It seems I should have read the list of inclusions and tried to guess which items they ommitted and which items might happen to me. This insurance policy is worse than not having insurance - I wasted the money on their premium and incurred expenses.

I Lost my smartphone overseas(stolen) and was not able to claim any money however all required documents were submitted apart from the IMEI # which I didn't had due I lost the paperwork & its box when I moved from NSW to QLD(proved). Who keeps records of IMEI ?Otherwise I was able to prove the lost smartphone was mine by supplying the pics, backup details with its serial, make & model but yet this IMEI was still an issue with InsureandGo(MapFre) how does that IMEI compare with any expensive item like camers, jewellery other electronic item lost? IMEI was just an EXCUSE ! On the other hand I went to overseas again same year this time with my family member she lost her Iphone6S but she got it fully refunded REASON she was NOT insured with InsureandGo & the other insurer accepted her claim without IMEI. However in my case they could have agreed to partial refund but this unscrupulous company have no understanding lucky I didn't run into any medical issues.SO hope YOU decide who to choose next time

MAPFRE owns InsureandGo and Tick hence all your communications and assistance, if there is a problem, is through MAPFRE. I was essentially compelled to deliver my dead son in Barcelona 28 July after informing them in 15 July. They'll look for every loop hole to not pay you

I had a round trip booked, meeting, hotel booking, etc. My flight was diverted due to aircraft breakdown, so I never arrived at one of my original destinations, which means, now I will have to make a separate trip there.

I provided all the required evidence from the airline. InsureAndGo straight away said that it cannot be a cancellation, because basically I arrived at my final destination, so it can only be a delay, which is very clever, because in that case the max payable amount is a lot lower. Well, as I never arrived at one of my planned destinations, in my view that is a cancellation of one of my flights.

Now it will cost me $2500 to cover that missed trip.

Finally, they rejected my whole claim, saying I arrived at my final destination without any delay, in fact, I got there about an hour earlier than expected. Wow. And what about the destination that I never got to?

I have used them lots of times, recommended them to many of my friends because they are an Australian company, so we should support them.
Luckily, non of them had any problem, otherwise I would be in big trouble now, because when something happens, that is when you really find out how good an insurance company is.

Well, this one is rubbish and extremely sneaky.

They were really good. Good value, easy to buy, terms were easy to read and they were quick to reply to email which was really important. I wasn't sure if they would cover me but they explained the insurance and everything was 100% ok

The insurance coverage was excellent considering the cost, the inclusions far exceeded comparison companies. Even though I didn't make a claim, I felt comfortable having the cover I did, it gave me piece of mind whilst I was overseas

Never ever use this company. They are shocking. They only told me my policy was single trip after I tried to make a claim. NOWHERE in my policy does it say Single Trip. I have the receipt to show you if you wish to see it. Stay far away. They are only after your money and will not help you. I am now abroad and with no travel insurance as it became void and they did nothing to help me when they told me this. NEVER USE THEM THEY WILL RUIN YOUR TRIP!!

Finally when I was trying to work out how I could get a new policy now I am abroad the guy on the phone said 'Sorry I have to go now, we are having a fire drill'. DO NOT USE THEM!! I CANNOT IMAGINE HOW AWFUL IT MUST BE IF YOU ARE IN A REAL EMERGENCY SITUATION!!

Beware of this company!!!!!! Avoid at all costs!

Yes, the website is very easy to navigate and prices are decent. But don't get fooled. Once you make a claim, it is very tough to get hold of someone.

Mintsi Goyanes handled my claim and she's TERRIBLE!!!! Only responds if she feels like it. And her responses are always "Thank you" and "Sorry". She doesn't even provide you a clear status of your claim. Kept asking for the same and/or the same documents.

I filed in October last year. Til now no reimbursement received.

This company makes it so easy for them to take your money, but once you actually make a claim they just disappear!

We had to cancel our cruise 8 days before sailing, forfeiting the entire cost. Our daughter, who was not going on the cruise with us , had a sudden and serious mental health crisis after being completely stable on standard antidepressants for more than ten years, and we are looking after her as any loving parents would. Insure and Go has refused our claim, because our daughter was taking medication for a pre existing condition. We are finding this hard to take...it is like kicking someone when they are down. So much for this enlightened era where anxiety and depression are out in the open! This has been the most heartwrenching time for our family, and to have our travel insurance claim denied like this seems unnecessarily cruel. If anyone in your family not travelling with you has any pre existing conditions - beware, as if you cancel due to their relapse or episode, you won't get any joy from Insure and Go. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.
