We have used Insureandgo numerous times for our overseas travel and feel confident that we are covered for any unforseen events while we are away from home. My wife and I are in our 70's now and appreciate the number of Preexisting Medical Conditions that Insureandgo accept with no additional premium, We have only had to submit one Claim to Insureandgo and we were impressed by the caring and compassionate manner in which Insureandgo processed our Claim. We have and will continue to recommend Insureandgo to our family and friends.

The cover provided on the annual insurance is fantastic. Pre-existing conditions are easily dealt with and in my case did not incur an extra premium. This gives me great peace of mind that there will be no nasty surprises.

I recently attempted to make a claim with Insure and go for a stolen mobile. The mobile was used by my 11 year old son at home as a gaming and netflix device and overseas with a UK 3 mobile travel sim in case of emergencies. On the day the phone was stolen I spent 4 hours in the Seville police station to obtain the needed police report and reported the phone stolen to UK 3 company who 1) gave me the phone's IMEI number and blocked this for me. They even provided me with a letter stating the phone had been blocked by them and the phone with that IMEI had been operational in Europe during my travel dates. I knew I needed to provide proof of ownership for insure and go and was aware they ask for receipts. The phone was a gift a couple of years ago and there was no receipt and no longer the box - however I had the phone repaired at a phone store while on my holiday in Italy and provided them with the receipt of the repair which included my name and the make of the phone plus the cost of the repair and the last 3 digits of my IMEI number. However insure and go would not recognise this as proof of ownership even with the letter from the UK3 company. Further insure and go said I had not blocked or provided my phone IMEI despite them receiving a letter from 3 twice as it needed to be done by an Australian phone provider even though the phone didn't have a sim in it prior to our trip. Further when I tried to submit my claim there were so many odd errors on how you could input your bank details I was already feeling scared that I had been scammed. The bank bsb numbers are preset for each bank and state and in most cases they are incorrect - meaning you will have trouble getting your money anyway. There is no way to simply enter your bsb and account number without using their flawed system. I would not recommend using them I know they achieve high ratings and that's the reason I bought their insurance but my experience suggests the great ratings aren't from people who have made claims - companies are great at getting reviews for immediately after you've bought their product - without having tested it.

The claims process is a nightmare. Every contact was initiated by me. I sent the required documentation with the original claim and got a reply stating I would be contacted within 10-15 days. Eventually, I rang them and was told more documentation was needed. Why didn't they email me and ask for this??? So I sent it through, and waited, and waited. Again I rang to see how things were going, and was told more paperwork was required. I emailed it again, and waited some more. Eventually, I rang and said it had been 2 months, and I was going to report them to the Insurance Ombudsman. My claim was finalised pretty quickly after that. I've used Insure & Go several times in the past, but never had to make a claim. I will not be using this company again.

I found it was very easy to understand and was good value for money and quick to buy on the internet.

Luckily I haven't had to make a claim as yet. The review experiences is why we use this brand. Premiums are competitive and an easy process online

The main issue I had was that I did not clearly identify how I could adjust the excess amount. Even after looking at my policy document is just says "Standard Excess" which is not transparent at all. Please advise what my excess is if I need to make a claim.

I won’t use again and do not recommend. Insureandgo does NOT save you worry and certainly not money. 🤣

I’ve been travelling for a while (5 years) and buying insurance as needed. My claim for 2 trips to the hospital for the same illness was rejected as my trip had already started...I hadn’t needed it travelling in NZ but Bali is obviously a different story. I did forget to buy it before landing in Bali but remembered pretty quickly on my first scooter ride and bought it immediately. Maybe I missed the fine print..still customer service was terrible, emails asking to add to my existing claim were ignored- and was given very vague answers, in pretty unprofessional emails. No signing off, or helpfullness or even a ‘hello’. Just ‘yes you can’.

Again, would not bother with insureandgo. Waste of time and money.

Have used Insure and Go several time and made my first claim recently. Process was simple, easy and relatively quick. Good communications and result!

Information I sent through to support claim was handled inefficiently as I was asked several times for same information which had previously been confirmed as received. Was advised claim was to be cancelled due to lack of response which was incorrect. There was no or inconsistent confirmation or receipt of information sent through unless asked for. Staff helpful when I had to phone several times to find out where my claim was at. Some information asked for I felt was unreasonable. It took 3 months to finalise my claim. The outcome of my claim was good but I found it a stressful exercise.

Ordered travel insurance online and received a 10 petcent discount thank you, but the website didnt tell me i was entitled to 15 percent being a senior, found out later through the seniors newsletter
Not a big issue just though you should know, apart from that always a good experience

I rate 8 for the customer experience because I didn't have customer experience yet, hope I can mark 10 if I get any
