I have been given no satisfaction with my claim. I submitted all my paperwork and they say that they have found it, then they have said they have lost it, they are just absolutely hopeless and you may as well choose any other company apart from this one. Do not buy insurance from these people

I got AIG Travel Insurance through World Nomads for my almost 3 month long trip. Had my $950 LG G6 phone stolen in Bangkok so I made a claim. Then I finally receive a cheque... for $106 dollars. I call back they said its only what I've paid so far on it, but even they can see in my papers I gave that I still have to pay the rest on the phone, but they said that doesn't matter. It's a good thing I had a decent amount of money to support myself over there, because AIG sure would not have helped me.

I specifically took out insurance on two flights with Jetstar (I often travel with them) as I knew my circumstances could change. Despite reading the fine print, AIG had even finer print and refused payment on the one flight I claimed for. This amounted to $85 payment difference. I had also got advice from Jetstar in relation to making this change and did as they suggested. That is, change the flight and ring the insurance company once I arrived home. Don't waste your money.

Quite happy and easily will take your money, offer you 24 hour emergency help where all they offer is a chat on the phone, due to branches being closed. After waiting the 10 day claim waiting period i was told i needed to have a meeting and that it could take 4 months even though i am still overseas and in desperate need of a phone etc which was stolen, and provided police report, proof of purchase and receipts on all items stolen from me, a witness and contact number. Yet they cancel my claim until i return home or my 4 month period expires. Thanks for nothing but wasting my time and money on travel insurance that riddled with asterixs even the most dedicated competent person would not want to waste the time or effort to have a No result at the end of the day. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

I purchased the trip insurance to ensure that I would be refunded if anything happened with my flight. That's what the insurance was there for, so I thought. I ended up getting stuck in traffic and missed my flight. Traffic was not my fault, it was due to bad weather. I filed a claim, and they refused to pay. I wasn't even asking for the full ticket price, just partial refund....Trip insurance isn't worth it.

Refused to cover for replacement passport after it got wet in my bag even though it was covered in my policy. Bunch of crooks

We had AIG insurance for our flight from Myrtle Beach SC to St. Thomas mid-October. The claim was denied even though weather disasters are on the list of valid reasons for claims. St Thomas was hit by Maria and Irma 4 weeks before our flight. Many parts of the island, including our condo/hotel are not totally operational yet.

I purchased travel insurance and then I got robbed in South Africa. I lodged a claim as soon as I could and basically they just avoid emails, questions and phone calls and I'm still waiting to hear what is happening with my claim. I provided all necessary documentation etc. Most difficult bunch to deal with. Would NOT recommend them

Company agrees my circumstances were unforeseen in which my partner and I had to cancel our entire Europe trip to take full care of my stepson. However they have still denied my claim! As if the whole experience hasn't been traumatic enough. Disgusting AIG!!! Would never recommend to anyone and will tell everyone about my experience.

AIG provided me with great coverage on travel insurance when I went overseas. Their customer service was excellent when I signed being able to answer all my questions I had regarding my trip and the insurance they provided me.
