My wife and I bought 2 annual multi trip policies and on both years, we had to make claims. We were surprised at the level of service and the efficiency at which the claims were settled. It was easy and fast. We have now renewed our policy for a 3rd year and hope we do not have to make a claim this year.

This is my 4th time using TID. Although during those 4 times I have travelled I haven't had to make any claims, I am pleased with the professionalism shown by the TID staff and the ease of booking. I have recommended them to my friends in the past and will continue to recommend more.

While travelling in Europe, my camera was stolen and I had to buy a new one for the trip. I submitted a claim once I got back to Australia and they paid me for my camera less the excess and some depreciation. I was happy as I wasn't expecting to get anything back from them.

My claim for $500 was rejected, and no help was offered in any way. When I enquired why, the answer was a straight no right off the bat. They had all sorts of excuses backup to make sure your claim will be unsuccessful. What a joke. Never buy from them.

Travel Insurance Direct really needs to improve their service and their policies to keep up with the ever growing travel insurance market. Although my claim was approved, it took months. I hope they will be able get their act together the next time or I'm off to another insurer.

We purchased Covermore insurance on the advice of a friend and travel agent for our cruise trip. Our concern was unforseen accident and medical costs. Not so much on theft or loss of possessions. Covermore service was excellent. Our call was answered by a very friendly and helpful consultant at Covermore, and answered all our questions regarding the insurance. No problems at all!

I have been with TID since 2007 and have had to make a claim once. When I claimed, to my surprise it was easy and direct. That helped ease a stressful and panicky situation. I was really impressed by their customer service and speedy responses. I will continue to insure with them on my travels.

I was so glad I was introduced to TID by a friend. It is easy to apply and cheap. The customer service was helpful as well. Fortunately I did not have to make a claim but it would not have a problem had I needed to. Will be using them in the future.

My experience with Travel Insurance Direct has been neutral. Their service is a bit slow and the people are a bit rude and indifferent to my situation, but they eventually approved my claim. I was able to recoup 50% of the cost of my lost belongings.

When dealing with TID, I only had good experiences to share. They are much cheaper than most other options, I also found them to be fast and reliable. There was one occasion where my claim was sorted out with efficiency and no questions asked. I also had another issue, when my airline had lost my luggage and they were ready on standby. I will definitely use them in the future.

When my daughter went to Madagascar, all her luggage was stole. The TID staff were excellent, the situation was complicated due to the fact she was in Madagascar, it was hard to get all the paper work for the claims. However TID kept us informed of the stages of her claims and she eventually got our claims approved. We also used them on my second daughter's trip to Bali but we did not need to make a claim on that occasion. Had a good experience with TID, and we will definitely use them again in the future.

I have used TID 3 times now, and on all 3 ocassions I had all good experiences. Once, I had to extend my policy and the staff was helpful and easy to deal with. I have not have to make any claims yet, but I trust that they will be easy to deal with as they have always been professional and courteous when I have dealt with them.
