I fell sick and was hospitalised while abroad, now they say they won’t refund or settle my claim of prepaid hotel charges. Also they have taken more then a month to settle my claim (partly) which translates to currency fluctuations and cash crunch to a policy holder. This is for annual travel guard issued from Thailand

Luckily I have never needed to make a claim, i do use this travel insurance each time i travel. It's not overly expensive and for me it covers my needs.

My value for money rating was due to the age loading for myself. I can understand the reasons for the loading but it does unsweeten the deal somewhat.

Thankfully we didn't need to use our cover but when you are cruising for 106 days around the world its good to know 1Cover has got you covered...don't leave home without it...took less than 15 minutes to set it all up online and the extra fee for pre-exisitng illness was the best we could find online...thanks 1cover.

Easy online purchase, affordable and automatic acceptance forms & receipt. Recently used for Asia now looking forward to Europe. Hopefully wont need to make a claim. Highly recommend Travel Insurance for peace of mind.

Have not had to use for a claim but experience really easy buying online. Went to Darwin for 10 days and got travel insurance for peace of mind being able to get home if needed. Very reasonably priced for the two of us.

I have been using 1 Cover for years & it is still the most affordable broad based cover available.

The online process is very simple and offers the best price cruise insurance for seniors under 80 years. I've never had to make a claim as yet.

Had to contact the Travel Insuranz medical team after falling ill in the States. Very comforting and sorted payment directly with the hospital. Would highly recommend.

We used Columbus for a four month trip to Europe last year. During the trip we experienced several problems, including a motor vehicle accident, theft of a wallet and a flight cancellation.

On our return we lodged a claim and found the company very difficult to deal with. Despite us providing a police report, it knocked back our claim for the loss of the wallet on the basis that we couldn't prove whether or not the wallet had money in it. This was because we weren't able to supply ATM withdrawal receipts. When we provided evidence that we had transferred money to a relative in Europe and received Euros from them and knew exactly what went missing (300 Euros and ten GBPs), this was also unacceptable.

The truth is however, that no one can prove how much money they have at any given time and yet despite this and the fact that theft of cash is covered by the policy, we got zip. Ditto with our cancelled flight. If you don't obtain receipts (a difficult thing to do in a foreign country and under considerable pressure), forget it.

We have just returned from traveling and unfortunately had serious medical issues. 1Cover was extraordinary in their care, assistance and follow through. Can't recommend them highly enough.

This cover was inexpensive and easy to obtain online. However I had no idea what I was covered for. Fortunately I had no claims.
