My husband and i have used tick many many times We have done 17 cruises and told many people of the way tick dealt with a claim we made and friends have now used tick when other insurers would not give them insurance because of age or pre existing medical conditions

I recently claimed for a missed port while on a cruise. The cruise was over 12 months ago and I expected it would be too late. But, 1Cover Travel Insurance approved the claim. The whole process was so simple... I think 1Cover is amazing and will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for travel insurance. An added benefit is their prices are very competitive with other companies.

They don't pay up if you have a claim, and don't make their policies understood when buying the insurance, my husband had to cancel due to Lung Cancer and they would not return our refund after having Dr Certificate supplied to them, a mere $440, and they wouldn't pay up. I would stay clear of Insure and Go.

Unfortunately and sadly. I had to cancel my trip of a lifetime. My claim was dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.

Terrible service never respond to emails or phone calls. Miss their own deadlines for responding then deny claim. Save your money and go elsewhere they don’t even speak English.

Bad service when claiming. Luckily it wasn’t a medical claim. Just simple reading glasses lost. I sent at least 10 documents and multiple emails phone calls for only 150 dollars. Hardly worth it.

Accepted my claim in full without any dispute from either party. Only criticism was the slow payment after notifying me of Tick's acceptance of my claim.

I needed to contact Tick while overseas. I wanted to know what I was covered for if I cut my holiday short to return home for a family funeral. I called the emergency number and hung up after 20 expenseive minutes on hold. Then I tried emailing them but, still had not received a reply by the time I had returned home 4 days later. It was now too late but, I wanted to register my disatisatisfacton so, I emailed again. I finally got a reply several days later. However, the call centre staff although pleasant and polite, just did not understand what I was trying to say, at all. Clearly they are only trained to deal with claims, as they kept telling me to lodge a claim. I was in Sri Lanka at the time of the terrorist bomibings so, luckily it wasn't a serious emergency. I would not recommend them. In fact I would say do not use them!!!!!

Took forever to receive claim, asked for too much documents and kept repeating and asking the same document. Under paid the claim and then refused to call or email back. I have contacted consumer affairs to re evaluate claim. Worst ever insurance for customer service

My recent experience with two claims caused me to believe that delays occurred due to communications between your Sydney office and your overseas processing office. Otherwise, I am very happy with your efficient Quote, Registration and payment processes.

We travel for a total of about 3 months each year , have had annual travel insurance the previous 2 years and have never previously made a claim. As our most recent trip was over 90 days we took out a policy for a single trip this time . In our last week my husband got a debilitating back injury and was deemed unfit to fly . We were forced to stay there until he was able to get a “fit to fly “ certificate which ended up being another 7 days . Initially we had no idea how long we would have to stay, whether 1 Cover, ourselves or our travel agent would need to reorganise flights and we felt for the first 3 days we had been left stranded as 1 Cover were not answering our questions .
On Day 1 we were asked for the medical report which we sent straight thru . Day 2 we were asked for his home doctors contact details. Day 3 we were requested to sign the authority for our doctor to give them details . We were so frustrated that we had not been asked to provide all this on Day 1 and were left querying whether they were going to cover us ( hence the reason for not giving a 10 rating )
HOWEVER , once they had received confirmation that it was not a pre- existing injury , 1Cover were FANTASTIC - they confirmed all would be covered , organised new flights ( with business class for my husband so he could lie down) , arranged wheelchair assistance and were super prompt and efficient with settlement on our return home .

I needed to make a claim for stolen items over seas and it was super easy and I had the claim approved the next day.
