Went well, asked for quote to be sent which said valid to a date in early Sept, rang before that date to take it up, but was told that the promo price had ended. i was not the only customer who had this experience. I would strongly suggest that if you do this kind of promo, that the operator who gives the quote lets the customer know that the price quoted will NOT be to the usual date on your standard e-m, but will only go until the date the promo ends. That date should be stressed to the caller.

Found their coverage for the things that I needed at a good price. Checked other sites but found this one the best.

Good value travel insurance, that I could rely on, when I claimed additional travel expenses due to an illness. I had to postpone my flight by 24 hours, for which Singapore Airlines charged me through the nose. But Zoom Travel Insurance picked up the tab very quickly and without any fuss. All I had to pay was the $200 excess - very impressive.

I felt supported in my illness so far away from home. Friendly, easy to communicate with and efficient to make a claim. Thank you.

I planned an amazing trip. A trip of a lifetime. I did a lot of research before purchasing travel insurance and decided to go with world nomads in the end thinking they were a good and caring company. Boy was I wrong. After I developed a condition that landed me in the hospital thinking I was safe and covered during this awful time. They have “ reviewed my claim “ and are denying my claim. This is extremely unfortunate. Being a travel agent myself and knowing how hard it can be to travel and fall ill I always stress to my clients how important it is to purchase travel insurance for the security and safety of your travels. I am on a trip that will end up being a year long with a few other people. We will now all not renew our policy with world nomads and start up with another company to ensure we can all be covered for the next 12 months while travelling. It’s so unfortunate that I thought and felt comfortable while travelling thinking if something ever happened I would be protected but I was wrong. Now I am out of pocket for being in the hospital when I carefully budgeted for this trip and spent 400 dollars on insurance for nothing with world nomads. I will be telling all my clients friends and family not to book with them since they are not there for you in a time of need. Sincerely, an extremely sad and disappointed customer.

Fortunately we did not have to make a claim, but we did have some concerns when the Lombok earthquake hit in Nusa Dua where we were staying, I was glad we did not have any damage except our restaurant dinner and drinks were shaken off the table before we took refuge in the street.

After purchasing travel insurance I realised that their Rental Car Excess insurance was only valid for 15 consecutive days. Unfortunately my rental agreement was for 16 days so had to ring and cancel my policy. Had no trouble getting through, staff were very pleasant and PayPal informed me they had a refund from Insure and Go within 3 hours. Couldn't get much better service than that. Disappointed that I couldn't use this company.

I injured myself overseas and was advised by the hospital to have my leg elevated on my return flight to as to reduce any swelling and protect my wound. Upon contacting ICover, I was given an upgrade on my flight and there was no swelling. ICover were very professional, prompt and dealt with my case in a time manor. Carolyn

I've emailed the claims dept as my tooth was crack and part of my dentures broken when i eat an almond nut. Due to my hectic itinerary, i did not have it pulled out overseas as it's still manageable although very inconvenient in chewing. When i arrive in Sydney, get told that it's not covered.

Originally I liked Worldcare because you could insure for one medical pre-condition and not the whole she-bang which most insurance companies want to charge you for, even if you have only one pre-condition. However, after the last trip I submitted a claim as a flight had been cancelled which had messed up our continuing travel arrangements leaving us out of pocket by an amount of money that wouldn't break the bank, but I thought I would try and claim. Even though I gave copies of all the boarding passes and a photo of the Flight Board showing the cancellation, they wanted a letter from the airlines stating why the flight was cancelled. I tried contacting said airline several times, but they ignored my requests. Why should they bother, as they had fulfilled their obligations by getting us to our destination - eventually. If Worldcare can't exercise some commmonsense judgment on this, I would be worried they would find some obscure loophole to not pay a more serious medical claim . I won't insure with them again.

Have used Tick insurance twice now. Checked policy and price against many others and Tick are cheaper and offer more.
Haven't had to claim but if the process of purchase is anything to go by I don't think I would have a problem should I need to make a claim.
