Very good customer sign up experience, and appreciated the coverage for pre-existing conditions.

What I didn't appreciate is that we bought the insurance in around May of last year, for travel this Feb. As soon as the coronavirus struck, they excluded it from cover, even though we bought the insurance well before the outbreak

Worst experience to file claim. the claim agent asked for unnecessary documents just to avoid paying the claim and worse, the claim agent requested me to provide information I already submitted. The claim agent sent me on a wild good chase to get unnecessary documents and information from the airline and travel agent (this costs me about $400 to call them as we are overseas) just to deny my claim.

Worst of all, the insurer deducted taxes for our flights (about $1800) and said we should claim it from travel agent where I already gave document that the travel agent policy is full forfeiture of the fare including taxes.

Zoom Insurance will try to avoid paying any claim at all costs even when you have a valid claim.

Do not buy travel insurance from them.

Needed to amend my policy dates, due to surgery change. Hannah from Zoom was fantastic. Made it so easy, a credit to her!

Great value for money. Offers off-piste ski insurance (but within resort boundaries).
Can't rate ease of payout as haven't made a claim.

Very happy with the competitive pricing & ease of organising the insurance for my particular needs. Luckily I did not have to make any claim - but had peace of mind from using Zoom. Very pleasant experience.

Zoom insurance was very easy to obtain online at a very affordable rate with high level of cover for my particular needs.

Overseas travel is a wonderful experience and travel insurance is a must. We have travelled extensively for the past 10 years & have never needed to make a claim so are we lucky, frugal, careful, who knows but we always take out travel insurance, but why does it get more expensive as you get older? Do the insurers think as you get older you get less careful, , take less care with your possessions? In actual fact we older travellers are more careful, we do not do stupid things like bungee jumping, ride motor bikes without helmets or other dumb things so why charge us higher fees? No one seems to want to answer this question. So I shop around & get the best rate I can find for reasonable comprehensive cover yet have never made a claim but get no rebates. Travel insurance is a must but at the same time is a bit of a Rory for older travellers.

Zoom Travel Insurance ticked all my boxes when shopping around for rental car excess coverage with a lot of extras that relieve the extra what if this goes wrong. Next trip I will be using Zoom again.

Obtaining the cover was very easy through the online application. Advice cover was provided was prompt. Providing an email welcoming us home with facility to make claim was impressive.

Our family was happy that there was no incident that happened during our cruise, but we know that regardless of no incident happening travel insurance is necessary and important for peace of mind and to ensure that things are covered. Zoom insurance was value for money and fits our budget!
