AIG Travel Insurance Reviews

This insurance is worthless and they will not refund your money for 2 airline tickets & car rental in the amount of $600. My son's college graduation was cancelled in CA due to Covid-19 and they state that it was not "Unforeseen" because the WHO declared a pandemic 2 days before I purchased my tickets and Insurance. Of course it was unforeseen as no one knew what was going to happen.

This company is theft company. From my experience i advices anyone not buying their insurance its just wasting money and they are scammers. STAY AWAY FROM AIG

It’s been 3 months and the claims department keeps asking for more documentation to avoid paying on their policy. Terrible experience and I still don’t have money on the claim.

very disappointing experience for simple flight insurance. I have submitted my claim more than two months ago and have not received response about. called them two time (waiting more than an hour on each call) and their agents keep telling me your application is under process.

Purchasing travel insurance with AIG is like throwing money down the toilet!
They do not honor legitimate insurance claims and use every trick in the book to get out of it.
You think you are covered when you purchase a travel insurance policy but not with AIG.
Stay away from them at all costs. Not worth the hassle!

This company is happy to take your money but when it comes to making a claim they treat you like a criminal. when the finally aggreed to pay in was 12 months after the fact.

This is a scam of a company. Bought their insurance on a flight. My passport got stolen and had to cancel the flight so I filed a claim and they denied it and will not give any sort of refund. This is the scenarios that we buy insurance for so that we can be covered. They take advantage of people! Worst company and will never ever buy their insurance again

My son broke his arm and we could not fly on the dates we booked, thankful we took out AIG travel insurance, as the airline would not refund our travel tickets, AIG travel were a hassle free company, I filled out the forms and the supporting documentation and with in no time my claim and refund was settle in no time, Thanks so much AIG will definitely be using you guys again,

I fell sick and was hospitalised while abroad, now they say they won’t refund or settle my claim of prepaid hotel charges. Also they have taken more then a month to settle my claim (partly) which translates to currency fluctuations and cash crunch to a policy holder. This is for annual travel guard issued from Thailand

Will take care of you while in the hospital but will not reimburse when it comes time to pay up on airfare. Flew my fiance over to be by my side and paid my hospital bill but as I already had a ticket to return home when I was well I bought her ticket for much less than the original ticket through AIG. Will not reimburse even though they didn't have to pay my ticket, didn't have to pay food, didn't have to pay anything else. All I asked was for the flight back to be reimbursed. Nope! They were just going to leave my fiance over there.

This company does not honor your purchase of cancellation insurance, and they will deny your valid claims. do not purchase insurance from them, they offer absolutely nothing but hassle and disappointment after taking your hard earned money and providing zero coverage.
