I took out medical cover for my trip to Bali. I was told I couldnt get further cover due to the Agung volcano situation. I just want to say that there has been no further problems with the volcano since that initial situation in September. I wonder if you can somehow review the situation with insurance to Bali now and step up to what is actually happening. Bali's tourist trade has dropped dramatically because of this. Most areas are safe to be in. And there is a clear exclusion zone which can be specified.

I have always used 1cover whenever I travel.I have never made a claim until now & even though I submitted a claim over a mth ago I have still not had any reply. I'm disappointed with the lack of response

I had no intention to claim but when I called to say that my daugter was stranded in South Africa, your call centre gave me the most cold hearted response you could ask for. No way I’ll ever buy anything from you.

We were going to Sweden. Had only 1 stop in Thailand where my 18 month old got sick. Had to rush her to the hospital there. I didn't have a phone on me so the hospital contacted 1cover on my behalf. They kept reaching out to me and keeping in touch. Paid the hospital bill and booked our flight back home as the dr said we need to get the little one back home. And they paid for our return cancelled tickets. They also called to check on my little one when we got back home. That's how service should be.

A small amount to pay for the peace of mind when hiring a car and their $3500 excesses; not that I had to claim to justify that state of mind.

just knowing i had good sound cover for all my requirements including rental car cover made the holiday so much better. thanks 1Cover

Our rental vehicle excess benefit is certainly a popular part of travel insurance, it saves you a good chunk of $$ where you'd usually be paying high daily fees to remove or reduce rental excess through your hire company or pay out of pocket yourself for the full excess amount in the event of a claim.

We have dealt with 1cover for many years with total satisfaction until now although we have had many policies with them this time they refused to cover my husband for pre existing medical for up coming trip to Hawaii his conditions are very stable no changes and they covered him last week for a trip and cruise we did, can't except their policy changes because it is USA. No loyalty in this industry anymore.

It’s perfectly understandable that you’re upset about what has happened. We don’t like to see our customers upset and inconvenienced.

On occasion we do have to make changes to our policies or procedures, generally this is to enhance our service but can result in cover not always being offered under the same circumstances as before.

I took out a policy for a cruise to Vanuatu and New Caledonia in 2018. The Cruise Company cancelled the cruise. I telephoned and was advised that I could transfer the policy to cover a cruise to Papua New Guinea in March 2019 if I sent an email asking for the transfer. I did this and received an email saying I could not transfer as the policy had to be used within 12/12. I responded by email and have not heard anything since. I am sitting, waiting in limbo.

After my partner and I were catapulted onto the road at 60km in Cambodia we called you as we arrived at the hospital. The person we spoke to was not only sympathetic but super re-assuring that we were in good hands and that 1cover had our backs and would not only take care of the bill but also would be reviewing our care to make sure it met AU standards. We were fortunate that our injuries did not require a hospital stay and we were able to complete a modified version of our holiday. Thank you so much! We really appreciate your service!

Once again thanks for your great value for my insurance cover to Bali. Being over 73 years, I have had no problems, only once, having a claim, all was done very quickly and professionally. I will definitely use your services again.
