When seeking ski insurance, work out what it is you require for the slopes and what cover you will require for mishaps such as broken bones and lost gear. Domestic cover is different to International cover in that Australians are covered by medicare. Though medicare doesn't cover the cost of a helicopter airlifting you off the mountain - usually the cost of around $15,000. Head further afield to places such as Japan and you'll definitely want specific cover.
